ABOUT THIS HOME
We support young people aged 11–17 from all backgrounds who may have been through difficult experiences or challenging times in their lives. At Moorfield Barn, we understand that everyone’s story is different, and we focus on getting to know each young person as an individual, without judgement.
Our practice is rooted in therapeutic parenting principles and the PACE model (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy). We are committed to building meaningful, trusting relationships with every young person in our care, creating a strong sense of belonging, safety, and stability. Our team works consistently alongside young people to help them develop resilience, confidence, emotional wellbeing, and positive experiences of relationships.

We believe that positive experiences and opportunities are essential for growth and development. Young people at Moorfield Barn are encouraged to enjoy a wide range of enriching activities tailored to their interests and needs, including go-karting, horse riding, visits to skateparks, spa nights, outdoor adventures, and community-based activities.
Moorfield Barn has been thoughtfully designed to feel like a genuine family home rather than a residential environment. We have carefully adapted the home’s appearance, atmosphere, and routines to create a comfortable, welcoming, and homely space where young people can relax, feel valued, and experience everyday family life in a nurturing setting.

A calm, nurturing seven-bedroomed home providing medium-to-long term placements for young people with complex needs, with strong links to local schools and the wider community.
