About this home
Arnfield Tower Activity Centre supports children and young people with a wide range of unmet needs which may be related to early life experiences or more recent ones. We believe that the children and young people we support do not necessarily act or behave in ways wholly through choice, but have adapted to live in the circumstances they find themselves in.
By providing a safe and secure home, supported by attuned trauma-informed carers, we help young people develop the skills and abilities to develop positive, trusting relationships where they feel valued, heard and cared for — enabling them to achieve positive outcomes in their lives.

I believe that Arnfield Tower creates a physically and emotionally safe, secure environment where young people can start to see themselves, others, and the world around them in a positive light. By providing attuned care, based on the pro-active use of relationship building activities, we help young people develop trust in adults and their ability to maintain their safety.
Combined with understandable routines and boundaries, children start to feel heard, seen and valuable for who they are rather than what they do.

All young people at Arnfield Tower access Arnfield Independent School — with individualised classroom learning, ASDAN, and outdoor education programmes tailored to their needs.
Therapeutic support
Access to art psychotherapy, life story work, and therapeutic consultations through our clinical lead. Therapy is integrated into daily life — not confined to formal sessions.
Activities & enrichment
Hobbies, sports, outdoor adventures, and community activities tailored to individual interests and needs. Positive experiences and fun are considered essential, not optional.
Multi-agency collaboration
Staff work proactively with social workers, schools, health services, and families. Professionals consistently praise strong communication, reliability, and collaborative working.
